Temperature Sensors category icludes a variety of products dealing with Temperature-Measurment, -Alarm and -Control applications. They are used either as sensing elements or as complete probe-packages (including the necessary electronic circuitry, the sensor element and/ or special cases and/ or packages depending on the application field). There are alot of other temperature sensors not mentioned below due to their highly specialized applications.

NTC
The NTC Thermistors (Negative Temperature Coefficient - Thermally Sensitive Resistors), are sensing elements known also as NTC - Transducers - Ceramic Semiconductors. They are resistors with very large Negative Temperature Coefficient (typically -4 to -5% / °C). With nowadays Advanced Chip Technology very stable and repeatable electrival characteristics are realized and in combination with new micropro- cessor designs they ate creating new chalenges and opportunities for temperature sensing and control. Tolerances, Rvalues, Lead Lengths, Wire & Insulation types other than the standard mentioned are Available Upon Request. Standard 30 and 28 A.W.G. Tinned Copper Leads.

Molybdenum
Molybdenum is an ideal material for temperature sensors due to its excellent linearity and a thermal expansion coefficient that exactly matches with that of the alumina substrate. Sensors with temperature coefficient of 3000ppm/degree or 3850ppm/degree are linear enough to be used in many applications without any linearisation due their high compatibility to existing electronic circuitry. Whenever additional linearisation is required, can be easily and economically achieved by simply adding a constant series of parallel resistors (due to the positive curvature of molybdenum temperature characteristics). Features : Positive Temperature Coefficient, Good Linearity characteristics, Good Long-Term Stability, Short-Time Response, Thermal Shocks Insensitive, Different Tolerance Classes and Attractive Price-Performance Ratio.

Pt
Pt sensors are Platinum resistance bulb assemblies. They hane very high sensitivity and compact construction. Pt are light in weight and operate with high reliability under adverse conditions of shock, vibration, accelaration, humidity, high temperature and corrosion. Having no mooving parts are capable of virtually unlimited life when operated within specified limits. Main Advantages are : Excellent Stability, Repeatability and Interchangeability. Main Disadvantages are : Low System Signal Output and Poor Responce. They are assembled in ceramic and glass packages. Well known as Pt100 due to their 100 ohms @ 0°C resistance used in most applications there are also available in other resistances as Pt130, Pt500 and Pt1000 etc.
